Theme and approach:SHADOW THEATER AND ITS INTERFACES

Theater of Shadows and its interfaces aims to discuss the Theater of Shadow in its most different possibilities and forms. The Shadow Theater, more and more, opens itself to dialogue with new ways of doing and thinking, “contaminating itself” from other artistic fields, how are they inserted? What are the possible interfaces with audiovisual, performance and teaching?

The Seminar will bring together artists, students, professors, researchers, representatives of theater groups, to analyze different contexts, situations, tensions and changes that currently happen in the way of doing and thinking the theater of animated forms, specifically the Theater of Shadows. Reflecting on the Shadow Theater interfaces, highlighting achievements and problems to be overcome certainly contributes to greater knowledge of this art in Brazil. The Seminar's program will have two lectures/conferences addressing different aspects of the theme of Shadow Theater and its Interfaces.

Goals:

• Reflect on the current situation of the possibilities of the Theater of Shadows and its interfaces.

• Knowing and discussing different contexts, situations and possible changes that have been happening in shadow theater.

• Debate on creations in the language of contemporary shadow theater, produced in Brazil and around the world, thus disseminating their different supports to audiences of all ages.
